The Veterans Education Training and Transition (VET2) Program is a one-of-a-kind initiative created for active duty service members and veterans.

(VET2) will facilitate the successful transfer of the service member to the civilian work place as well as handle the application and interviewing process.

HOW VET2 WORKS

There are three ways to use the VET2 Program for your corporate needs:

  1. Extended interview process
    • Pre-screening, interview and approval of the applicant by Georgia Tech Professional Education and the Corporate Sponsor
    • During the first week of the program, VET2 prepares the veteran for the placement position with the corporate sponsor by focusing on their vision, mission, and organization
    • Veteran student works for three weeks in the placement position while receiving guidance and mentorship from Georgia Tech faculty and VET2 program graduates
    • At the end of the program, the veteran student discusses their experience with the corporate sponsor during a one on one desk-side presentation
    • As a Corporate Sponsor, you decide whether or not to hire the veteran into the position based upon their performance
    • Following successful completion of the program, the veteran becomes a part of a mentoring group that works to assist other veterans successfully transition to the civilian workforce

  2. Onboarding for new veteran employee
    • Prescreening, interview, and hiring of the veteran
    • VET2 prepares the veteran for a successful entry into the new organization
    • Veterans spend the first week of the program on campus thus reducing the space, instructor, and employment costs to the corporate sponsor
    • Veteran new-hire receives guidance and mentorship from Georgia Tech faculty and VET2 program graduates for the duration of the program
    • Following successful completion of the program, the veteran becomes a part of a mentoring group that works to assist other veterans successfully transition to the civilian workforce

  3. Customized Program — Workforce Opportunity Service (WOS)
